Seriously, give those five weird videos below this entry about The Law of Attraction a chance. Never mind how bizarre the videos are, or that the music is absurd- listen to what she says. If anything, start at video two, halfway through. Then watch the other three. Trust me. It’s good shit and will benefit you, no matter what your beliefs are.

Do it. Screw watching tv or the dumb cat / dog videos I’ve posted. Watch those. Go.

COOL Has Been Diluted

Cool used to be about being. It was the soulful jazz singer, the spastic beat poet and the wandering rebel. It was something raw and electric that they epitomized a spiritual sinew that became their creative drive.

Cool used to emphasize substance over style. It wasn’t about listening to a type of music, watching certain films or having interesting things. It was about giving birth to an idea that would radically change our social, political and cultural constructs.

When corporations commodified cool, they stole its essence and turned it into something shallow and superficial-people no longer needed to be cool, they could simply buy it. To reconquer cool we must once again ‘be cool’ -AB mag (before they charged 12 dollars for an issue)

(Thanks to my friend Alessandra for posting this. I think it is brilliantly put and is something that I think about on a daily basis but have felt unable to say it quite as elegantly.)

Dog Falls in Love With Cat

I have a knack for posting ridiculous videos on here, and this is no exception–but it should win an award for cuteness.

I’d post deeper, more intellectually stimulating blogs here, but I’ve got a memoir to work on. So for the time being, enjoy.
